Much of what we know and see of the Vietnam War has been defined by iconic photos taken by Western photographers and news agencies, working alongside American or South Vietnamese troops.
But the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong had photographers of their own, documenting every facet of the bloody war under the most dangerous conditions. These rare pictures shed new light on life from the other side.
Despite their age, these images have not lost their impact.
