After three years of painstakingly meticulous drawing, carving, and printing, the husband and wife team of Paul Roden and Valerie Lueth finally unveils Outlook, an original color woodblock print that is a wildly detailed masterpiece. Take a look…
Outlook is a landscape carving with unbelievable detailing. It depicts rolling hills, sweeping fields, pine-dotted mountain ranges, and lush forests.
Paul and Valerie, the artists behind Tugboat Printshop, employ traditional printmaking process to create high quality pieces. The artistic pair also strive to keep the art of printmaking alive through their works.
They used original black “key block” and 4 alternative plates of varied colours that contain varying details to create Outlook.
Successional printing of the plates resulted in the myriad of careful hues and rich details apparent in the final product.
The dizzying patterns and details are amazing. No wonder it took them three years to complete this work of art!
