Meet the ‘Female Schindler’ Who Saved 2,500 Children during the Holocaust

By the time Irena Sendler was caught and tortured by the Nazis, she’d already saved 2,500 Jewish children. When she died in 2008 at the age of 98, Irena Sendler insisted she was no heroine, but she really wished she had rescued more children.
